So I just found out today that my FI's best man, someone who he's known since childhood might not be able to make it to the wedding in 8 DAYS because he can't get off work... Apparently he didn't ask until TODAY....
SERIOUSLY... WTF... This is your BEST FRIEND'S wedding and you've known about it since at least December when I sent STDs, if it were my BFF's wedding I would've asked for the time off as soon as I knew about the wedding, or at least 2 weeks-1 month before, since most jobs require something like that.
Already FI's brother can't make it because he can't get out of work and is having marital issues, which is a LAME excuse. I really can't deal with this anymore... I feel like next week we're going to get calls from others who can't make it. I'm so FURIOUS right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How are people so dumb to not ask for a day off at least 2 weeks before they need it?????????? I hope he'll be able to take off, otherwise, we're down one best man...

People are SO inconsiderate!! It has amazed me through planning this wedding how dumb lazy and rude people can be. Family or not. That's just BS. He should have asked off work as soon as he knew about the wedding. Trust me I totally understand your frustrations.

My MOH didn't request the day off either and she is in the wedding lol. PPl are just rude!

That's just crappy! I mean I get our weddings are not as important to other people as they are to us. But if someone asks me to be in their wedding I was take that as being pretty important and would think I need to take care of some things. Sorry people are dumb!

My BFF ( a BM) didn't request the day off either but I understand her reasoning. She's gonna call in sick and take the 3 day sick leave for the wedding wkd.

Thats very inconsiderate of your BM tho Did he say he was in the wedding? or just attending?

Yeah i'm over it, She said she's going to call in sick because she's a financial planner and only 1 planner can be out at a time and her counterpart is already off.

... he said he was going to be in the wedding... to be fair, his mom just passed away about 2 weeks ago, so maybe I'm being a bit harsh... But still, he's know about the wedding since December, and it's his best friend.... he better take a sick day or get someone to cover for him...

I had lunch with 2 of my BMs last week and one of the seriously asked me... it's in 2 weeks right? uh yes.... goof. I know she's super busy at work and two teenagers and a tween at home. and her daughter is grad HS,but geez come on.... you can't remember what day I'm getting married.

It's because he is a guy... seriously... Girls think about these things and plan ahead and guys are just bad at it.
