What are you doing for favors?

We were going to do a doughnut & coffee bar at the end of the night, but now we're rethinking it- We don't want to have to worry about getting doughnuts the morning of the wedding.

What are you ladies doing/ thinking about doing?

I was originally not going to have a favor at all.  Now we have a photobooth, so I suppose the photos the guests get to take home are their "favors".  And since I'm a Type A control freak (IE, want to do everything myself), my mom asked me if she could put together a candy bar for the wedding (apparently she went to a wedding that had one and fell in love with the idea), so now there's that.

We are doing a smores kit. With that we are including the story of how my FI asked me to marry him. It will be so cute and fun for our guests. Most of them don't know the story.

We are doing a candy buffet, too.

We were not going to do favors, but my sister had the idea (that I'm sure I have mentioned before) to do gummy frogs, since they are a favorite of mine and the reception venue is called Frog City Cafe, So that is what we are doing

We are doing little Ghiridelli Chocolate squares in green boxes wrapped in teal or purple ribbons with matching flowers on top.

FI gave me chocolates on our first date.... honestly it really creeped me out and became quite the story with my girlfriends... the whole what do you do when on a 1st date meeting for the first time  in real life (we met through an internet dating site) a guy gives you chocolates... the answer? Marry him ;-)

We're doing bags of zebra popcorn (our favorite!). It's caramel popcorn drizzled with dark chocolate and white chocolate (from popcornopolis).
We'll also be giving each guest a deck of playing cards.

You should order a bag of it to try for yourself. They have a ton of different flavors, but zebra is my and FI's favorite.  You'll get addicted! :)

My FI grew up in the Cayman Islands and I grew up in Ohio, so we are having Tortuga Rum Cakes to represent Cayman and buckeyes to represent Ohio.  We'll put them at every other seat so the idea is each couple with go home with one of each.  For the single guests, they'll have to settle for whatever is in front of them.

We had picked out a place to order the buckeyes from, but my sisters just offered to make them!!  (About 300-400!!)  So sweet of them!

We're doing cookies! As of now, I'm having a local bakery cook/pre-package them, but depending on how the budget looks closer to the wedding, I may have them turn it into a dessert bar so that people can pick their own.

The 3 cookies I have in the bag as of now are chocolate chip, snickerdoodle (sugar cookie), and oatmeal rasin. I plan to buy some personalized stickers from etsy saying "love is sweet - amanda and allan" to close up the bags to give it a personal touch.

Originally I wanted to do something edible (chocolates, cookies, or smores), but I think I'm just going to give a donation in lieu of favors to the rescue where FI and I adopted our dog.

We are doing a candy buffet.  We also got golf tees with our names and date on them.  FI is a golfer and works in the golf industry, so it's a huge part of his life.  If there are a lot left, he can use them! :)

    I've loved hearing everyone's ideas!!!

I was trying to figure out how much fruit trays were on Sam's website, and inspiration struck- The FI LOVES Svenhard danishes, and Sam's sells them. So instead of late night coffee & doughnuts, we're doing coffee & Svenhard's- FI is SO excited :)
