I just got engaged on Saturday (dec 17th) to my prince charming. I am on cloud 9. I look forward to talking to all of you. I am hoping for a June 2013 wedding, so I will be looking at halls very very soon!

    Congratulations!  I would get on it, with the new year, everyone starts their wedding planning and June is a popular month.  For now, pick your Fi's brain for what he really wants before you get out there... I had no idea how picky mine was until he started picking apart venues I liked! lol

    Congratulations and welcome!! How did he pop the question?!?!

    As PP said, with the holidays here and Valentines right around the corner, rings will be popping up left and right, and all of those venues will  book right up! I had the same problem with my Fi picking apart the venues i loved! so definitley work together on that! lol looking forward to sharing this planning adventure with you!

    He took me on a nature walk..it was a pretty cold day and after he proposed i didnt even feel the cold. He had rose petals on the ground leading up to a spot with blankets and hot chocolate and thats where he did it....and i cried like  a baby!! haha

    i have already started looking at venues and hopefully will go check them out next week before new years. id love to have it officially booked (church and hall) the first week of january! lol is that too ambitious?

    Not at all!  We booked our venue last month, it's already starting to book up for June 2013, after booking every Fri/Sat/Sun of their 2012 season (mid April to end of Oct, it's mostly outdoors)  Congratulations and happy planning!

    Thats so sweet!!!  Love his simple style but so creative!  Definitely not too ambitious, just be sure you love it and not jump the gun.  But again just be careful to not lose it to someone else.  Good luck in your planning and I hope to see you around the board as we all await our weddings!
