Bolding/Unbolding should be working now

Posts that have been read should turn gray now until someone posts to it. Lemme know if this is the case for you or not. Kthxbai!

Nope. =( Read this one, and it stayed bold. Even refreshed the page just in case--still bold.

It seems to be working for me every once and a while. When I read a post, reply, and go back to the main page, the post still shows up in bold like I haven't opened it yet. But eventually it goes to grey, then back when a response is posted. Hope that makes sense!

It works unless I post something.  If I read the post and don't respond, it goes grey.  If I read a post and post something, when I go back to the main page, it's bold (probably because it thinks I didn't read my own post??)

Actually, the sticky posts (which I read yesterday, except, of course, for the one that's gone AWOL) are greyed-out for me...but they're the only ones. =(

Ughs. Confusing. It is working for me. Can you try taking the check mark out of the 'Sort by most recent post box' in the right corner area and seenig what happens? That is how I have it working now.

M - that didn't work either.  I'm not actually sure it changed the way it's sorting, either.  It doesn't look like it did.

This was the suggestion from TK:

"Make sure to tell them to clear their cache (Cookies).   Also, if you don't wait for the entire post to finish loading, I notice sometimes it won't mark that one as read.  And, if you're in a post with multiple pages, you have to hit "Mark all as read" if you want it to be unbolded, but don't want to go through all the pages.  I think even when there are a lot of replies on the first page, you have to scroll by them all for it to go unbolded, since it still thinks there are new items there.

Oh, and this is a big one.  If you're in a post, instead of hitting the back button to leave, hit the breadcrumb at top.  That refreshes the page, and the back button doesn't. "

A breadcrumb is IT speak for the path of screens that you chose: Community  >  i.e. Local Wedding Boards  >  Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh




Each screen is a breadcrumb. Groan. Make sense?
