I don't have much to be an AW about really.

I did get FI an amazing bday gift that I knew he would be so stoked for. I got him tickets to the Winter Classic (Hockey) games that are being held in Michigan this year. (I'll be asking you MI ladies for hotel recommendations soon!!)

Not much of an AW but I had a fantastic weekend with FI and his parents! We got a lot of wedding stuff accomplished! And I lost 1.8lbs from last week! I dont think thats bad considering we ate out for 3 different meals while fil's were in town!

I haven't done much over the weekend, it was raining and gross out so we stayed in for the most part.
One of the only AWs that I can think of is that we got our daughter a Halloween costume (she'll be a pirate lol), she is three and a half this year, so I feel like she understand Halloween so much better and is excited to do all the trick or treating!

I've got nothing.  My mother was a big stresser this weekend so now I'm sitting on the depressed side of things and am burned out on everything.  She just sucks all the positive stuff out of everything.  I hope it doesn't take too long for me to start bouncing back from this...ugh!

I made pumpkin curry soup and eggplant lasagna this weekend using stuff from our garden and my parents' garden. They both turned out delicious and I felt very domestic pioneer woman-ish after making them.

My AW is that we are registering this week. We are super excited about it. I heard stories this weekend from friends that they were at BBB for 6 hours registering, it really doesnt surprise me though, but I am going to seriously put drinks and snacks in my purse to keep FI from getting crabby. We are doing BBB on Wends and Macys on Thurs.

Dee, I seriously doubt you are going to find any hotels in Ann Arbor still available. I have heard from people that they filled up right when the Winter Classic was announced. I would recommend looking out around where I live actually which is Canton, MI. It is probably the closest city to Ann Arbor with hotels. There is nothing spectacular, pretty much all chain hotels, there is a Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express, which are both nice.

If you are looking for a nicer hotel, I love the Inn at St Johns in Plymouth, MI, again about a 15-20 minute drive. It is actually a super popular wedding venue around here. It looks like they have a special Winter Classic package also. http://www.stjohnsgolfconference.com/hotel-packages/index.cfm

anddd my room block for my wedding is at the Novi Sheraton. It is really nice, I love it, close to lots of restaurants and stores, but it is more of a 25-30 minute drive from Ann Arbor.

hope this helps! We are waiting to see what happens with the lockout before we get tickets, but that is seriously a great gift, my FI would just die.

good luck mrsk! We will be at the one out by us in Northville, are you going in with a list or just winging it pretty much? In my head I know what we need, but FI gets control of the scanner and I am a lil worried about him haha.
