I know there's a girl on here that is going to PEI for her and her FIs honeymoon, but I can't remember who it is ... can that lovely lady please step forward?

I wish I could say it was me. I loved the Anne of Green Gables series growing up and I'm dying to go to PEI. I'm having a book nerd moment right now just thinking about it.

My great grandmother who lives with FI and me is blind, so we read aloud to her. We did the entire Harry Potter series, and now we've just finished the first Anne book. FI says he understands me a little better after finding out those books were always my childhood favorites, and won't stop pointing out my "Anne moments" : Anyway, he didn't believe it was a real place, so I looked it up and showed it to him, and he fell in love with how beautiful it is. I wanted to ask PEI honeymoon girl if there was plenty to do.

As long as you're going during peak tourist season (Mid-June - Mid-August) then there's lots to do.  If you go earlier or later, restaurants and attractions shut down.  We went in late May I believe and most places were closed, but we still had an incredible time because of how beautiful it was. 

What types of things are you interested in?  There's nice beaches, a (very small) amusement park, shopping in Charlottetown, hiking along the shore (North Cape was amazing), an entire interactive town based around Anne of Green Gables, museums, and theatre plays.   Of course there's great seafood and pubs as well. 




That's me at North Cape!  It's a windmill farm and you can go on a long walk through a marsh.

At the Lakeview Loyalist Resort in Summerside, I had the best roast beef meal I've ever eaten!

Jenn - Thanks for the information.  I'm into a bunch of different stuff, and everything you mentioned sounds fantastic (I'll admit, the geek in me wants to spend an entire week in the Anne town) 

I think I am going to put this on the table for honeymoon ideas

I think you'll love it -- it's so beautiful there.

Anne town was mostly closed when we went and I was so disappointed.  We got to see one small museum (and ride on a buggy with a Matthew actor) and we could walk within Anne town, but none of the attractions/shows there were open.
