Question...

I asked my aunt who is a photographer to do our wedding pictures and she is the real nervous kind when it comes to wedding pics my wedding would be her 2nd wedding..so she told me idk let me think about it...so I have cousin who is also a photographer that I'm thinking about asking...she is new to it tho. She has her 1st wedding this weekend...she is a 2nd cousin thru my step moms side...I do not have a lot of her family on my guest list...cause I don't see them much so my question is...do I need to invite her husband and kids?? (my 2nd cousins family)

Thanks.

Re: Question...

  • I think that if she is working, then you don't need t invite them. The photographer, whoever it is, should be busy the entire day because you don't want them to miss any shots, so she would not have time to talk to them really or anything other than stopping to eat. You could talk to her about it, and say something like "I'd love to invite your husband and kid, but I know you'll be busy working all night. Do you think they'll feel uncomfortable or would they like to come?"

  • Would you be inviting her anyways even if she wasn't taking pictures?

Even if she's attending as a vendor of sorts, I think to err on the side of avoiding potential drama (as well as the fact that it would be a nice gesture), you should invite the husband and kids.
  • I think it all depends on your relationship with your cousin. Like emily mentioned, if you think you would have invited her anyways than I'd invite her family, too, but if not I wouldn't worry about it.
