A Nightmare for NJ brides...

A large bridal store in my area has suddenly closed its doors without letting any of the brides know. Some have been able to pick up their dresses, some with pins still in them from fittings, others are being told that they can't even get their deposits back, but won't be getting their dresses. I was planning on making this shop one of my stops on the seach for "the dress." SO glad I didn't, but I can't imagine what some of these brides are going through! Full story at the link:

That's awful!! A similar thing happened with a bakery here like two years ago...fortunately, several other local bakeries volunteered to provide cakes to people who were left in the lurch. Hopefully there are some other salons in the area who will help those girls out.

That's insane! I can only imagine how horrible it would feel to be left without your dress all paid for and everything. 

I think something similar happened elsewhere a year or two ago where a Pricilla of Boston suddenly closed, left brides without their dresses or refunds and went as far as to trash all their stock and throw it away. They spray painted over all the dresses to keep people from stealing them out of the garbage.

That is terrible! I don't understand how people can screw other over like that. There was a venue around me that closed similar to the dress shop. People were planning on using that place for their wedding the weekend after they closed and were left in a lurch. I can't imagine having to go through something like that.

Thats crazy, something similar happened here a few years ago, but with photography instead. There were couples that never got their wedding pictures.

OMG How horrible!
