New to the board :)

Hello everyone

I am new to TK's boards but I am excited that I found them! I think that it will be extremely helpful when trying to plan my June 22, 2013 wedding!    Right now my difficulty is choosing wedding colors. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.  I am pretty set on having grey bridesmaids dresses but I want bright colors to accent.    I just cant decide on those bright colors. I love the picture below (particularly the grey) but I think that the colors are too dark for a summer wedding.  Hope to hear from some of you!

As for your color dilemma, we're actually doing kind of dark colors (orange and purple). Maybe hot pink or tangerine would pop well against the gray?

Check out theperfectpalette.com She has some great color boards up for some inspiration, you can browse palettes she made or look by color. Hope that gives you some ideas

Welcome to the board, we are date twins. I second theperfectpalette.com. Our mantra on this board for colors pretty much is it is your day, do whatever you want. I was contemplating using grey as one of our colors. The guys will be wearing light grey tuxes, I didnt want to put my girls in grey dresses just because I dont want it to be too matchy. One of my favorite grey color combinations I actually found on here, it was peony and nickel. They went beautifully together and I think looks better for a summer wedding than red and gray.

Hi and welcome! I'm using grey as one of my colors too, it's a neutral so you can go with anything. Do either you or your SO have a favorite color or colors? I'm a color fanatic so I had the opposite problem lol I couldn't narrow it down.

Congrats and welcome!! I love that shade of grey (with the shine to it, it's pretty close to the plantinum color I'm using as a part of our colors). Are you getting married indoors or outdoors? Do you have a venue chosen, and if so, is it more formal or on the informal side? Taking those things into consideration might help you decide what accent colors to use.

Well for one, that pic is beautiful.  Lucky for you, many things go with grey:

blush pink, yellow, pale green (or brighter apple green), purple (could mix light and dark purple actually).  Basically I think any color but blue will really pop with it.  Since gray and blue are in the same color family, they look great together but you might not get that pop.

Welcome and Congrats! I am in a wedding next weekend and the colors are grey, yellow, and green with a few accents of pink. I love the grey!

Congrats and welcome to the board! I'm not too helpful with the colors, we are still figuring out our shades, but I agree with checking out theperfectpalette.com, it seems to have a lot of great ideas on it.

Thanks everyone for the advice!  I am so excited about getting married and all the planning that goes into it.  I will let everyone know when I decide what my colors are!
