Has anyone decided yet what they are going to do for favors?

We are definitely going to do a photobooth. There are seriously so many photobooth companies around us, it is crazy, I have a spreadsheet comparing them just like I did for photographers. FI and I have been testing them all out at the bridal shows, and I think we finally decided on one that we like. I think I am going to get the photobooth frames to be put at each place settings. They can double as an escort card too.

I think we're going to go with book plates - stickers you put in the front covers of books to mark it as yours. We're both big book lovers, we're even using lots of old books as part of the centerpieces. I've loved the photo booth pics I've gotten at weddings! At one wedding they had digital copies of the pics, and they uploaded them to their photo sharing website, it was really cute and a good idea.

We are deciding between two things.  Either doing custom playing cards (not with our name or date on them. Just the colors of our wedding) or donating $10 to a charity in their name.  We would have a card that they fill out and they can choose what charity it goes too. 

I love the photo booths too but its just not for us

We are doing a photobooth for sure but we want to do coasters, I had seen someone else say they were doing it and FI and I absolutely loved it. Each guest would get a pair of coasters as well as their photostrips from the photobooth.

As for photobooths there are SO many like you said. So far I think my favorite, even though it may cost a little more than others, I am really interested in infinity photobooth. The booth fits up to 12 people, and everyone in the pictures get a copy, as well as the bride and groom.

Our escort cards are mini folded fans that will double as a favor and we are also going to do either a candy bar or have the candy already boxed up in little take-out containers.

We're doing a candy buffet with chinese take-away boxes. I found some that are a faint gold so it'll coordinate perfectly with our colors. I'm really excited about doing this! Besides the brooch bouquet, it's the project I'm most excited about!

I really want a photo booth at my wedding too if it's in the budget!  But we're thinking that our favors will be flower seeds or bulbs (we need to research this more) and that way our guests can enjoy our favor every spring!

I'm baking a few types of cookies as our favours   Now I just have to figure out if I'm going to put them in jars like a "cookie bar" or pre-pack them in the favour bags.

@ KplusA: I don't know if you are interested in this or not, but this was one idea we had thought about. (before getting a ballroom and changing our entire rustic vintage chic theme)

Looks super easy to make too, aluminum cans with a sprig of rosemary (or any other herb/flower)

We are thinking about doing candles. There is a really nice candle shop at our local mall that gives discounts on large purchases so that helps out. To kinda tie them into our country theme, we are going to place them in a large picnic basket.

Your frames sound like a perfect idea.  I was just at a wedding that did this and me and my fiance each got a frame so we got 2 strips of photos done, and now they are here on display in our apartment.  SO cute and they had some candy thing that I didnt even take with me, so I don't think that is necessary.

Our wedding is a rustic theme so I am giving out small mason jars with fabric swatches on top (can get them very inexpensively).  But instead of putting candy inside, I am putting in a little photo of FI and I and it will have written "In lieu of treats to fill your jar, we thought we would give from the heart.  In the name of our guests a donation has been made to XX in honor of XX." 

My incredibly close uncle was diagnosed with cancer (and still fighting strong!), so we wanted to use the money we would have spent on m&ms with our names on it and donate it to the corresponding society.

We likely won't be doing favors.  We're strongly urging our guests to NOT bring gifts/cards/money as this is our 2nd wedding. In return, I'd rather take that couple hundred dollars we'd spend on chinsy (sp?) favors and put that money into something else our guests will apprciate...like the Royal Restrooms (outdoor wedding) or an even better bar lol.

The way I see it, I have yet to be to a wedding where I actually thought "wow, that's an awesome favor!" Usually I find them cliche, cheesy and a waste of money. But, that's just my opinion.
