CN: Weddings are getting even more expensive even with the sour economy. Average wedding costs are up from $26,984 in 2012 to $27,021 in 2011. Also what you can expect with a $5k, $20k, $50k or $100k budget.

My wedding will probably end up being around the 20K mark. Not intentional. We even went with the least expensive venue, an up and coming photog who'se like a grand cheaper than everyone else, most of our flowers will be fake and a gift from my mom's florist friend. We tried to cut corners and save, but we're still going to spend way too much.

We are in the same boat as cnf. We are not splurging by any means, but our wedding will mostly end up being a bit upwards of 20K. And we are doing it on a Sunday, I can't imagine how much it would have been on a Saturday! I think it all depends on where you live, too, some areas are much more budget friendly then others.

We are trying to keep ours under 10k and have been pretty successful. I live in an area where you can have a nice wedding for fairely cheap. Plus the ceremony will be outside so we are cutting costs with having to decorate the ceremony sites. Our photographer is the cheapest I saw without compromising value

We are trying to keep ours under 15K and we are struggling. We are having a family friend do the flowers (she is giving us a discount) and we are also having a family friend as our DJ (another discount). Our photographer is a little known photography and is at least $1,000 less than many of the other photographers that I looked at. Our reception venue is on the hospital campus that my mom works at and we are getting a huge discount on that as well. FI and I feel like we are picking the best options available to us price wise and we are still spending so much money! So frustrating!
