C & V Thursday

Okay, I know a lot of you just came off of a lot of family time...so let's hear those confessions and vents you've been holding in the past few days.

Vent: My mother has been making snide remarks about me being a snob for trying to follow wedding etiquette since she discovered none of our parents are being listed on our wedding invitation.  It finally came to a head Christmas day night and we had a huge "discussion" via text messages.  I'm completely fed up with her BSC tendencies, hurt by her constant yo-yoing on whether she wants to be involved in the wedding planning and angry that she is still trying to control me with guilt trips and passive-aggressive behavior even though I'm 35 years old.

Confession: I really feel the need to start poking my mother with a stick and doing things I know she'll hate for the wedding just to make her mad now.  It's absolutely terrible of me to want to do that and I know I should feel guilty, but I really don't.  I just keep reminding myself that they fallout of poking at my mother would not be worth it in the long run and it's better to just not talk about the wedding with her.  There are times I really hate trying to be an adult

Vent:  My boss told us we could work from home on Thursday because of the storm. So I took my computer and printer home Wednesday night, no problem. I worked all day yesterday with no problem. At 4:45pm, she IM's me saying that everyone else came in to work, and why didn't I. BULL. SH--. The only minor problem that came up is that the other people in the office don't know their azz from a hole in the ground. I really wanted this to work out so I could work from home more in the future.

Confession: I'm finding it very hard to give a crap about what goes on here.
