What do you think of these colors together?

Hi Ladies!

I went bridesmaid dress shopping today with 5 out of my 6 bridesmaids and they picked a wonderful dress! The slight issue? Its black! I had gone in to the appointment wanting green dresses-an apple green dress and couldn't find the shade of green that I pictured. The consultant suggested black to really make my colors pop and the girls found the black one. I've outlined my colors below. If I do black dresses, will that be odd or really help emphasize the theme and colors? At the reception the table cloths will be black with green and pink water beads and floral in large martini glasses at each table.

Theme: Classy, Modern & Fun
Colors: Fushia, Apple Green, Gray and Black
Wedding Dress: Ivory
Tuxes: Gray (now with black vests)
Bridesmaid Dresses: Black
Flowers: Fushia and Apple Green

I think it all sounds fine together. My colors are pink and green also, but more of a light pink and sage/minty green. My guys are also going to be in gray tuxes. The only thing is, it seems like black was more of an accent color and the green was one of the main colors, now they have flip flopped, it sounds like green is going to be more of an accent color, if you are fine with this, go for it.

Black bridal party dresses are so hip now. It was a great choice. Now they can all accessorize with either of your accent colors; fuschia or apple green. Think shoes, sashes, brooches or jewelry, etc. 

Don't over think this. Besides, none of your girls would have worn an apple green dress again!

I must admit, I am AWFUL about envisioning ideas in my head. So I had to google some examples of WPs with black bridesmaids dresses. I think they're gorgeous! It really makes the accent colors stand out. Oh, and don't most people FEEL thinner in black? I know I do. Your bridesmaids might like that little boost of confidence.

I personally don't think you can wrong with black BM dresses. I love the idea of popping them with your green and/or red accent colors!

I did a lot of searching and I am now in love with this color combo of the black dresses and pink and green accents and flowers! Great point about the ladies feeling more confident in black, the ability to wear it again (they were already talking about this), and about it potentially looking dated down the line.

I think it sounds very pretty!  I was a BM in a beach wedding years ago, black dresses and bright colored bouquets, I thought it looked great!

I really like it!  I actually considered it but with Navy, black is a no no lol.  But seriously, I think the color combo sounds wonderful!  It will definitely help add pop to your pretty green and pinks
