My fiance and I want to get married at a historic mansion in our town.  I found out today that the date we wanted was booked!    I hope we can still have the wedding at this site another day.
Just a little bummed.

That stinks that they don't have your date available. Hopefully they'll have another date that works well for you or you can find something even better. Good luck!

It is a bummer. Are you set on that specific date? If not, you can try for a week or two earlier or later to get your dream venue. Good luck!

Hopefully your venue is available for another date! Maybe you can try for a Sunday or a Friday wedding if all of their Saturdays are booked and you really like the venue? Good luck!

We're going to go see the place and talk to the women who plans events to see what is open and when!!

Everything will be fine, no worries!  Our date went from April to May to June due to venue availability.  In the end, it works out and I am very happy with the day we ended up with!  Just goes to show though that it gets tough for those trying to plan even a year out.  Those popular venues just seem to disappear if you are picky on your date.  I think the best thing for any of you ladies still not locked in, be open and flexible with the date and you will be much happier.
