So, I haven't been on here in awhile and I thought I share some recent wedding developments...
The good news:
We found our photographer!! I'm a wedding photographer myself, so I am extremely picky... but we finally found someone who has everything we're looking for within our price range! We wanted someone who would shoot digital AND film, and I didn't think it was possible to find a professional that still shot artistic film... Her name is Jo Ramsey and her business is Unveiled Photography (anyone from Colorado: I highly recommend her). We're getting an engagement session, full wedding day coverage, a mini Polaroid album, and full custom-designed album, and a CD of all images for $2500 (we got a $250 discount because one of my friends is her second shooter). Her work is just stunning... here's her recent work blog for anyone interested:

The bad news:
We cannot find a ceremony venue! I'm getting SO ridiculously frustrated!!!! All the good places have been booked up since last year! I want it to be close to the reception so people don't have to drive around downtown Denver (parking is expensive and limited). All the non-denominal churches around here are super dark and gothic, which is the opposite of what we're going for. Having it outside is out of the question because we live it Colorado, which means it either rains in the afternoon, OR it's 100 degrees in the summer. We have 200 guests, which poses another problem because we need a lot of seating. We've tried unique venues like The Denver Art Museum, The History Colorado Center, The Botanical Gardens, etc. and everything is either booked up or $2000+ for a ceremony! I'm just lost on what to do next. =(
Just needed to vent a little! Haha... I hope everyone's planning is going smoothly!
