feeling like I've come to a hault

So since booking my venue and photographer i feel like the las two months have been very unproductive for me wedding-wise. I keep thinking i should make appts with vendors, but mine and FIs schedules are soo backwards to one another we probably will not be able to go together to the meetings. Does anyone else have this problem?

My problem is that I can only be in St. Louis every few weekends, and I can't book anything until my parents see venues which is very frustrating since they won't go there to look at places. They want us to have the wedding back home and seem to still be holding out hope. I have absolutely NOTHING booked which is super frustrating.

I feel your pain, ladies. Things have not come to "a halt" for us - it's that we can't really get going! My and FI's top choice for both the ceremony and reception (two different locations) only book a maximum of twelve months in advance... so basically I'm anxiously awaiting June 2012! In the meantime we are trying to save and I'm stressing about the availability of vendors at only one year out. I'm so worried that all of the great vendors in our price range will already be booked by then.

I am trying to book a photographer. My top 4 photographers are booked. I feel so defeated and sad. I need to get back to researching.

I'm at a halt as well OP, the last big thing I did was book my photographer.  The only progress now is I am working on planning the day we will do our engagement session.  Other than that, I am taking a break, a lot of my big stuff is done so things like cake, menu, table layout, etc. can wait.  So, for me it's a break, I'm just brewing ideas for decor for the time being.

I completely understand the conflicting schedules between you and FI.  My FI and I only get maybe one day a week to see each other if that so it has been difficult planning cause it is a lot of back and forth.  We have just started the appointment process and have to schedule any appointment no more than one week out which makes it difficult for us and our vendors!

I feel like I'm on a halt as well. We have the big things finished already, thanks to the wedding package at our venue. So now it's just the little things to complete. We have a meeting next week with our photographer to sign the contract and set the date for engagement pics...but other than that, we can take it easy. 

The only thing I'm worried about is ordering the Save the dates and finalizing our guest list so we can know how many to order and where to send them.

Also not really doing anything wedding related--I'm pretty much stopping until the end of May when I start dress shopping and spending time w/my mother and FMIL...then I think it will be wedding overload.  We just have our venue booked.

I'm still waiting to book my venue. I can't book it until the end of the month. So I've gotten nothing really done yet. As soon as I book the venue, I will book my photographer which I already have picked out. She did both my daughter's senior portraits and still has my date open. Than i can get some things done.

I feel the same way. My fiance wanted to wait til next feb to pay our venue. But I talked him out.
