So some of the regular ladies on here are familiar but just a quick run down for those who don't know...
I am very close to an uncle of mine who was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma last year. We have had ups and downs with his recovery, and at the moment we are in a down my aunt from cali flew out and his hair is growing back so I think there is something fishy he isn't sharing
Anyhow, we are staying positive as this type is typically quite treatable. So I have known for a while that I will be doing donation favors to leukemia and lymphoma society in honor of him and will be printing out cards that explain this to our guests. The wording will be something like "in lieu of favors, a donation to the leukemia and lymphoma society has been made in the name of our guests in honor of uncles name"
What I have to consider, unfortunately, is what if something terrible happens and he wont make it to the wedding. Gosh this is hard to even type, but anyway if something did happen, will "in honor of" still be ok instead of "in memory of"? I will have to order them at minimum a few weeks prior to the wedding so I don't know what I should do. Of course id like to order them sooner so its another check but ugh, hate the thought of having to wait just to see how he is doing...
