Completely NWR, but I made the most awesome Easter Bunny shaped bread yesterday, with his belly hollowed out for dip, and surrounded by veggies.  It was so cute, and I totally got to bask in FIL's adoration for my Betty Crocker-like skills.

AW stands for attention whore. This is pretty much a weekly opportunity to brag about anything awesome without getting dirty looks for being an attention whore. :)


As for mine, FI came down to visit for about a day and a half over the weekend since I'm home on Easter break. We spent Saturday going around town job hunting. He's not a big fan of the process, but he stepped up and did it for me. He does so much specifically for me, including move away from the city he was born and raised in as well as his family and friends to be with me. What a lucky girl I am.

Hmmm Id have to day that I posted a few weeks ago about my stipend (so my annual pay) getting cut by 30%.  Well a bunch of people (there's several hundred of us) contacted lawyers and senators and congressmen and basically fought the battle for me, so they retracted the whole thing annnnnd I get to keep my stipend!    So that was my good news for the weekend annnd I celebrated by driving 30 mins to my fav froyo place with FI haha.

I'm running my first triathlon the first weekend in August and finally got to try my new race bike out this weekend. FI and I split the cost of it and it was part of my Christmas gifts from him  this year. I've been nervous to go out on my own my first time out. I didn't know how to work the fancy clip pedals and was just kind of uncomfortable going out my first time alone. FI has a really nice bike and used to ride all the time. So I finally got him to go out with me on Sunday. It was great. I'm definitely more confident about going out alone now. But I need to step up my training in general. The race is a total of 34 miles and I'm hoping to finish in under three hours, so I need to start training harder if I want to reach my goal finish time.

My grandma and my aunt both surprised me with more brooches this weekend for Easter, plus an adorable box to keep them all in. We also sat down and got a few essential things sorted out. We are skipping the candy buffet and just doing individual shot glasses filled with candy. I'm pretty happy that I don't have to search and buy 300 lbs worth of candy. 

NWR: It's our anniversary. We are going to the restaurant where we had our first date (Benihana) for dinner tonight. I freaking love that place so I'm excited to get some yummy food!

I got to visit FI this weekend, our last visit in our 2yr+ long distance relationship before we move in together over the wknd he took me to the apple store, and asked me to pick out an iPad case. I thought it was to replace his, and was totally floored when he got me an iPad!! It's an early graduation gift for completing my post-bac. Aaand that's enough AWing for me for a nice long while

My AW is that I just asked my first bridesmaid to be in the wedding party today!! I made cute little cards for each of the girls in our wedding colors that had a little poem inside. I'll post pictures later if remember!

She was super excited and I'm so happy! She lives in New York and I only see her once or twice a year so I decided to ask her while she was here this time

My AW is my FI made reservations at The Ghost Bar and we are also spending the night at the W in Dallas for my birthday Saturday. I've lived in North Dallas for almost 5 years and have never been so I'm pretty excited.
