is it tacky to drop off save the dates to some ppl that are close to me?

We dropped some off. FI brought his into work for his coworkers and for our friends at home we just brought them with us when we went into town. I sent my parents back with w few too for them to give to their friends, my brother, etc. We only mailed what we had to. No need to spend the extra postage.

I've handed out more than half of mine by hand to friends/close family :-)

I did not mind getting one handed to me in person. Now as I bride, I totally understand handing those out to save money.

I agree too. FI and I definitely plan on at least bringing the work ones to work to handout. We will most likely hand them out to our immediate family too.

Ditto all the PPs! FI and I will definitely hand deliver the once for our co-workers and family members that we see often.
