Care to share your invites?

I'm still indecisive on what invitiations we are going with. So I thought I would see what the other June brides have decided on.

Re: Care to share your invites?

  • I wanted the ones that matched my save the dates, but we changed colors since we order them and the invites don't come in our new colors. I found something similar on etsy, but honstly I'm not sold on them and not sure at this point.

  • FI and I finally agreed on one, with a charcoal background instead of black. I don't think either of us love it, but neither of us hate it, which is a first.

  • We went with vistaprint for our Save the Dates and it was much cheaper than any do-it-yourself we could find and they turned out sooo nice, the color is much more blue (not cheap crayon blue) in real life.
We are stuck between two designs on invites though- and by stuck I mean I want the one that is $70 more and FI doesn't care but hes going to make me wait :)

  • We used a mix from four different sets on Wedding Paper Diva's website. Granted, they're not the cheapest company...but they do have pretty regular sales. We scored ours for 30% off which put them right within our budget, thankfully!

Funny enough, this invitation was actually the first wedding related item that I selected. When FI and I started talking about getting married and hosting a wedding I went online and just "casually" started looking at all things wedding... starting with the invitations.

I found these on eInvite.com. Below are the samples, invitation w/ lined envelope and one of the enclosure cards. For some reason I couldn't pull the Response card or Thank You note pictures from the website. But they are also available and I will be ordering the entire set.
I love them! And so does FI. They are exactly what I was looking for and they convey the style of party that we are having. Vintage inspired elegance with a modern twist! I have basically been designing our wedding around this invitation; colors, flowers, venue style, decor, linens, etc.

No Save the Dates or coordinating escort cads, programs or menus are available for this design so I've selected other options to compliment. See my Save the Date below (in my signature) and next to it is a personalized proof of our actual invitation.

[QUOTE]We don't even have our STDs done yet, so I haven't yet begun to design our invitations.

I don't have ours done either, still waiting on our engagement photos. Everyone was starting to make me feel paranoid!

  • Since FI and I are very casual and our theme is baseball, I made our invites on a card making program and I can get 100 of them printed on  tickets for $30. I'm not sure if that includes the envelopes or not at this point (haven't had time to check). I took ideas from 2 different ticket style invites and mixed in our own thing as well. I just couldn't fathom spending $300 for invites. And, eventhough I spent $40 on a bunch of clearance invites at Michael's, they weren't what I wanted at all. However, my sister is getting married and she LOVED them. So she bought them off of me. =)We just sent out our Save the Dates, so I'm waiting to order the invites another month or 2.

Thanks MeeJay! I really like them too. We're going for a casual, outdoor, vintage wedding...so I thought these fit well!
