FI and I got a lot done in the last week (WR and NWR):

-(NWR): found a great apt in louisville and got the ball rolling on our upcoming move 

-Booked our photographer

-Booked the cake

-Found a catholic priest to co-officiate our jewish/catholic wedding

Kind of pumped Any exciting checks for you guys?

I've been to KY many times, but never l'ville. We mainly go to Middlesburo.

We are going out of town this weekend, and then I am switching job responsibilties in two weeks, and then I can really get into knocking some stuff off our list.  I can't wait!

Well we will be doing session 1 of pre cana this weekend (so kind of not looking forward to it).  And I booked our engagement session photo session today, we will be at Maymont Park in VA.  So no real progress on anything specifically wedding, just things that lead to that end lol.

congrats everyone on all the progress! I have a meeting with a photographer next week. If all goes well, we will be booking her right on the spot. I am ready for this part to be over! Once that is booked, we will be setting up meetings with DJs.

random question: When is everyone planning to go get the guys tuxes? I dont know how early this is typically done. I have decided to go with a local tux company as opposed to Mens warehouse or president tuxedo. FI was in a wedding last year and 4/6 of the mens warehouse tuxes had problems with them. I know they are fast at fixing problems, I just really dont want to deal with this several days before my wedding. I really didnt like how President Tuxedo conducted themselves at all the bridal shows I went to. They give you a sheet to fill out that is essentially a contract the bottom? Just came off kinda shady to me!

@sparkles I think the guys should get their tuxes ~3 months out. We've had friends who've had mini-dramas with their tuxes the day of w/ Men's Warehouse. They were able to fix them but it was a bit stressful for a few hours. A lot of our GM already own a tux, and it's a whiles away so we don't yet know where we'd want the other guys to rent from.
