I'm so sad the photographer I wanted for my wedding 6-8-13 is already booked i'm so upset!!!! I lost my mood to plan even though we already have our ceremony and venue I just though I was planning far enough in advance has anyone else had this problem recently???

That sucks! I'm sorry. I've just started planning so haven't had that problem yet, but I'm definitely worrying about it/anticipating it. Popular vendors get booked really fast!

Awwe bummer!!  I'm so sorry.  Set backs are always no fun.  You could ask the photographer you really wanted if they know of anyone that is similar to their work.  You might be suprised!

That's a drag!  Maybe it's a sign, you'll find someone just as good for a lower price.  I'll cross my fingers for you!

I'm sorry to hear about that.   I agree with Cassie-- definitely ask for recommendations from them.  Most photographers have great recommendations on people with similar skills.  Also, you have time to keep searching and meeting with different ones and who knows, you might find someone you like better!

I'm sorry about that...but don't get down! Ask for rec's like PPs said. Since we're still pretty far out w/ planning, I think this is probably going to be a one time fluke thing, hopefully you'll get first pick for your other vendors.

agree with PP's. FI and I have done a ton of research on photographers. I compiled a spreadsheet and finally have a list of pretty much my top 5. I hope my first choice isnt booked but if they are, I have a list of photographers I would be happy with. I agree with the other ladies- that is probably a fluke type thing. Dont let this set you back! keep looking and book soon!

I've been looking at other photographers and nothing really comes close to his work or what he offered... thanks ladies for all of the support! I really like our June 2013 wedding board some of the other boards don't really communicate as much but I will definitely use all of the great advice you ladies gave me!!!!!

I'm sorry! We had the same thing happen with a DJ. Our venue, photographer and my coworker all recommended the same DJ and said he was the best. I called him, and he's already booked for June 1, 2013! I was surprised and disappointed.

Im so sorry!  I had this happen to me almost.  I found a photographer I loved loved, and she was game for the date and all, but then I told her it was 1.5 hour drive from her home, she said no.  I was like whaaaaat!  She said that in June she doubles and triples her weddings so she wouldnt have the time, any other month she wouldn't have minded the extra drive.  I was so sad.

BUT trust me, there are other photographers, I booked my now photographer and I am VERY happy with the decision.  It's not the "same" but I love the twist of style my current photographer has that the old one didnt.

Oh man that's the worst!  I don't know where you live, but here in Philly there are SO MANY photographers that I literally can't even look at them all!  I emailed 15 and now I'm overwhelmed!  My point is, there might be so many photographers that you don't know about in your area, and maybe one of them takes pictures like your dream photographer.  Keep searching online, and also I think going on your local board and asking for photographer recommendations is a great idea too!  I think you will find someone you love even more!

I have found five other photographers in my area and I'm going to make appt.'s to see them all and then I'm going to make a spreadsheet and see which photographer will be the closest to what I originally wanted fingers crossed!!!!!
