Honeymoon! All inclusive help!

Hello!!! I am getting married in October and my fiance and I plan on taking our honeymoon someplace warm!  We were looking at Punta Cana (Excellence) or maybe Jamaica.  Our budge it around/under 3,000.  Any tips or recommendations???

We are going to Punta Cana in June and staying at the Majestic Colonial. Ours is a little more than your budget because we upgraded to the Colonial Club, but otherwise it would hit your budget perfectly. It's all inclusive and looks amazing.

I like using the website AllInclusiveOutlet.com to do my research. Then I narrow it down. It gives you pricing from your specific city and to the destinations you are looking at. So you can see how many restaurants and bars and all the good information. Hopefully that helps.

We stayed at Excellence in Punta Cana, just about a year ago!

Cons
- Rooms. Ours was dated and the bathroom (shower and toilet) was beyond tiny. I'd heard they renovated some of the resort, perhaps we weren't in the renovated portion.
- Booze. If you're a beer drinker, you're fine. Mixed drinks were a mixed bag - my daquiris were never completely frozen. Wine was so-so.

Pros
- Beach. AMAZING beach.
- Pool. Decent pools, seemed like plenty of seating, we never had trouble finding chairs.
- Food. Good food, lots of variety.

All in all, my biggest complaint was the room. I've stayed at nicer resorts in terms of accomodations, so I was comparing this to that and it fell short. But the beach far outweighted other places I'd been.

We didn't do any excursions, so I can't really comment on those. We did use the workout facility and that was nice.

Some friends of mine went last October for their honeymoon to Sandals Montego Bay in Jamaica. They loved it, but I have no idea how much it cost.
