Possible Ireland Honeymoon

Does anyone have a tour company they would love to refer? We're looking at C-I-E Tours International atm.

Re: Possible Ireland Honeymoon

  • Thank you :) C-I-E was recommended to us by a travel agent but we've never traveled aboard so I'd like to get a few different suggestions :-)
  • We went through irishtourism.com and they have been nothing but awesome since Day 1! We can't wait to go on our honeymoon.

  • We've used Gate1 and had a great experience.
  • Thanks ladies :-)
  • We'd love to stop in Scotland as well :)
  • We did DIY Ireland family vacation for 10 days and I loved it! If you have any questions feel free to msg me. :)

There is some things we loved while there and some things we skipped.  There were also some things that are just money grabbing and some things that were legit real cool :)

(Of course, everyone has their own opinions but feel free to feel out my opinions).

  • I went with my parents to Galway, Ireland for about a week and a half. We made our own travel plans but while we were there we took two bus tours with O'Neachnan Bus Tours (that may likely be spelled wrong lol). But the tours were a blast and Galway was a very neat little town. I would highly recommend stopping by there!

We use CIE every time we go to Ireland.  They are a joint operation between the travel industry & the country / gov't.  They also have offices in NY/NJ if you need them before you leave.

We have had some hiccups (caused by us) & CIE was always right there to fix them.  On our HM, DH left the vouchers home.  Lovely way to end the whirlwind of our wedding weekend & the  overnight transcontiental flight.  As soon as they opened,3 hours after we arrived & were trapped in a not yet fully open AP, they got us all new documents.  Last trip was a big family thing -- they moved flights & times & got every special handicapped transportation for the elderly family members.  They really have it down to a science.

We went for a week in Oct and booked a travelzoo through Screptre Tours; highly recommend!

It'll be wet but then Ireland is.
Gets dark early as well (but then that part of Europe does in October)

    Still good though :)

The weather was great! We were there the first week of Oct. It was mainly 50s and 60s (except for the coast at Cliffs of Mohr).  I mainly wore jeans, long sleeved shirts and closed shoes/boots.  I had a waterproof jacket and a few scarves I used for layering.
  • The weather will be Irish no matter when you go.  Drizzly and gray and cool but never enough to interfere with plans....and then when the sun shines it just makes it that much more special and spectacular.  Such a wonderful place to visit! Enjoy!
  • We just booked CIE Taste of Ireland and Scotland through AAA. I spent a summer study abroad in Ireland so I knew that driving would be an adventure. We aren't leaving until 6/2014, but because we booked early we saved 10% and we booked our flight at a good rate too.
