I worked with Bliss Honeymoons because I travel a lot and wanted someone else to do the leg work for me. They require a deposit which they explain by saying that they don't want people to use their services and then book online. Understandable, except no other travel agent asked for one (more about this later). I would not suggest working with this company.
We told them that we needed to get everything booked by a certain date due to an increase in our work load for our jobs. Three days before the date we wanted to have booked by they said "there is no rush, your wedding isn't until July". Well, yes, but we clearly told them that we would not have time to work on the honeymoon and felt that should have been respected.
They seemed to have a lot of trouble finding what we were looking for... which was the reason we went to them in the first place. After shooting down 9 or so places, we asked if the problem was our expectations and asked if we should up our budget or reevaluate our wish list. We were told that no, we'd find something in our price range with out wish list.
The agent would say, this is perfect for you two! And when we looked at the resort, it was far from what we had asked.
Then, we finally settled on a resort that I wasn't sure of but needed to pick somewhere so we settled for one. We asked what days the quote was for, good thing we did. The quote was for a trip starting three days before our wedding, and ending a few days after. Our wedding is in Columbus. The resort was in Mexico.
I wrote to the owner about the above complaints, mostly boiling down to a) I don't feel like the agent is listening to what we are saying and b)I doubt the agents ability to do his job. She wrote back and explained that the agent understood our actual wedding date, and she couldn't think of anything else that she would have done differently .
At this point we started to talk to four other travel agents. None of whom asked for the deposit until time of booking.
Within a few days one of the other travel agents was able to find a great resort that we are super excited about and got us booked. Just to see, we asked the agent at Bliss to give us the same quote for this resort and it was a few hundred dollars more expensive.
All in all, it was a huge waste of my time and $50.
