Please help! Outdoor Ceremony Locations

Hiya!

I'm looking for somewhere nice and pretty to have a very small wedding ceremony in the Houston. Also, it needs to be free or VERY cheap since we only have a $400 budget for it and it's most likely just going to be our families. We are also expecting a little one in August so we plan on having the wedding towards the end of June. It doesn't need to be extravagent, just something a step up from getting married at the courthouse. Any suggestions or advice is appreciated here. Thank you!

You may need a permit, but you can use herman park.  I don't think it's expensive.

Honestly, there's probably a lot of good parks around houston.  Try smaller parks.  You just need to call around to find out the permit prices.

Check out Baldwin Park in midtown.  It has beautiful trees for shade and scenery and the surrounding neighborhood is cute.  You can get a park permit and noise permit for about $250.

Not sure how far out you want to drive. But North of town in Huntsville, they have a State Park with a super cute facility that rents for $250 a day (plus the daily park entrance fee)! You have full use of the 4000 sf facility, restrooms, kitchen AND table and chairs!! The outside is vey pretty and I have seen pics of other wedding here as well. We may be looking into this location as well because you get it all day! Good luck with whatever you choose!

If you're willing to drive a little north into Tomball, the downtown area is very beautiful and quaint. They have a nice outdoor area with trees and a gazebo that you can rent for about $200-$250 and its for alll day. You're allowed to set up and decorate how you want you just have to make sure eveything is cleaned up when your wedding is done.
