WR AW: I'm 12 days away!!

Holy cow you guys!! This time next week, it'll be THE WEEK of my wedding!!!! ZOMGWTFBBQ!!!

So to prepare you, I'm going to AW all of my wedding stuff I haven't AW'd yet.

Ready? Okay, let's go.

First, my somethings:

Old: my gma's pearl drop necklace and her pearl ring

New: my hair piece my FMIL bought me

Borrowed: Elle's HP necklace.

Blue: my dad passed away last week, so I took one of his favorite dress shirts and cut off the cuff and made it into a ankle bracelet:

Second, hair.

I went to my hair guy on Wednesday and got my hurr did. Here are the results (FI is a TERRIBLE picture taker, so please ignore the angles...)

Thirdly, BM gifts:

MOH: still working on...

BM1: She loooves to cook, so I bought her three cook books, one world cuisine, one about fresh vegetables from her garden, and another one on french cuisine

BM2: A really cute ring and an owl necklace from Charming Charlie's

BM3: A bow necklace and a pair of "pearl" earrings

BM4: I handmade her a blanket and embroidered the name of her new college on it

Fourth, I got a new tattoo. My dad's battle with lung cancer ended last Wednesday. White is the awareness color of lung cancer, so I figured a nice, simple ribbon would suffice.

My weight loss isnt going as expected, but hopefully I'll be back on the wagon soon. I'm eating right again, finally, just haven't gotten around the the excercise part.

My tables are assigned and the cards are ready to print!

I sent out Day Of schedules to all of the women of the day, the men have yet to get me all of their emails...

I've got to figure out WTF to do about the welcome bags. Anyone have advice here? What do I do with them? I have what I want to put in them, I'm just not sure how to handle dropping them off at the hotel and when. We've got guests coming in Thursday-Saturday...

ETA: Bachelorette party in Austin THIS weekend!!! Yaaay! Two Saturday's ago was FI's. We ended up running into each other at a bar, where later, some creepy guy slipped something into my drink. I'm going to have my bm's on major drink patrol this weekend. I'm super paranoid. That was the second worst part of last week.

Also, my pastor came over last Sunday and did a marriage blessing with my dad present. It was simpily beautiful. If our wedding is half as beautiful, I'll be happy. Our photog came and got this stunning picture:

Congrats, everything looks beautiful! I have no idea about the welcome bags, I'm sure someone that is much more familiar with wedding planning can help you there.

Also, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I know I don't know you very well at all but I'm sending you virtual hugs and I wish you nothing but the best for your wedding. Again, congrats on getting married!

Aw!! It looks so beautiful! I love the shoutout to your dad with the ankle bracelet and tattoo. I know he'll be looking down at you guys and partying with you long into the night!

I also love love love the individualized BM/MOH gifts. It's really pushed on the knot, but I NEVER see it in real life. I don't want a dang tote bag with your wedding date on it!

My sister got me a gift card to Victoria's secret, haha. Which was awesome, but she gave it to me in front of my very super conservative aunt, lol. So I left it in the bag. Good times.

Everything looks so beautiful and special! I love how you incorporated your dad's shirt cuff into your something blue and had your marriage blessed with him there. I can't imagine how precious that moment must have been.

When I reserved my block of rooms for my guests recently, I asked them how they go about handling welcome bags and what they told me was to drop them off to them before the guests begin to arrive and they will hand them to the guests when the check in.

All of this wedding stuff makes me insanely happy! The picture of you guys and your parents is absolutely beautiful, Aud.

I would just put the bags together and drop them off at the hotel before your guests begin arriving. I think FI's dad is getting there on Thursday but we won't be there until Friday so they'll just have to wait until then (my hotel is 2 hours from me so dropping bags of on Thursday isn't an option).

That is one of the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen. I teared up while looking at it. You look so happy and strong, and the love between your parents is palpable. I'm so happy you were able to have that ceremony with him there with you and that he'll still be walking you down the aisle

Thanks for the hugs and love guys, I can feel it.

I'm at peace with his passing and I don't think it's hit me fully yet. His last week was really really harsh, so I'm just glad he's finally not in pain.

I am loving watching all of our details come together! I'm at work today and not doing ANYTHING, so I'm going to print all of my printable things! Yaay!

Seriously, if anyone you know of is in Houston looking for a photographer, go with Emily from Fleurish Imagery. She's amazeballs, as you can tell. (and same photog as Elle's) I'm most excited about our wedding pictures.
