WR - lets talk music

Ladies I know a few of you used some programs to help with choosing your music.  Can you please give suggestions on which programs, apps, etc..helped you the most?  Thanks!

  • Nope, I can't, but I hope someone else can :)

I'm kinda glad we don't have to pick music yet, because I have no idea.  That being said, I'm 99.9% sure we know which DJ we're going with, so that's a positive.

Good luck finding some awesome tunes!

The DJ we booked has a website that allows you to pick songs off of his playlist that has thousands of songs on it. It's a bit overwhelming but luckily FI and I aren't too picky with music. We will dance to just about anything. Does your DJ/ Band have a website that you can pick songs from?

  • mholl, ah yes, our DJ-to-be also has the same sort of setup.  I think the OP might be talking about picking music for like...first dance and such?  I know my DJ has a list of "normal" ones, but I will probably steer clear of those, haha.

Oh I gotcha, well the only thing I could think of that helped me decide on the other type songs were research. I didn't have an app or anything but I'm curious as to which songs to choose for other things that happen during the reception like cake cutting, bouquet toss and stuff.

Blue- The only songs I told the DJ to stay clear from were the chicken dance and YMCA...none of that lol.
  • Is it bad my family does the Electric Slide like professionals?  I honestly think they expect it lol.  At my sister's wedding, there was a whole host of line dancing lol...we're special

  • Hollister - yes we do have a DJ where we can choose reception dancing music but Blue is right I was thinking more about the processional, recessional, dances..all that kind of stuff.  I'm dreading making these decisions.
