My Bridezilla Moment

I held off this long but I think I may have cracked.

I thought it was very clever of me to get discounted Easter candy (Reese's cups and Hershey's kisses) because more of the wrappers were the "right colors" for the wedding. The problem is, it's that special time of the month and omg Reese's are the best cure for anything menstrual.

So I went ahead and opened a bag, figuring I'd eat a couple that were in the gold wrapper because we won't be using them for the candy buffet at the wedding. Next time I know, FI plops down on the couch with a couple of pink ones and I was like "NO OMG WE NEED THOSE FOR THE WEDDING PUT IT BACK AND GET A GOLD ONE RIGHT NOW OMG!"

He did, because he loves me and knows I'm certifiably insane right now, but we had a good long laugh about it later. This is srs guyz.

  • Ha, that is totally understandable and fine!
  • The look on his face was priceless. He looked like he just found out he was holding two small bombs instead of candy.

  • At least you're only a month out.  I had a friend who went to the US and bought special colored M&M's for her favours and put them in her freezer for about a year and a half.  No way those would have lasted at my house.  :)

  • Hahaha! I could see myself doing that.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • The Reese's were transferred safely to my mother's house which is at least a 20 minute drive, so they should be secure from here on out LMAO he's still laughing at me for this.

[QUOTE]That's too funny! I read it to H and his response was "that's a brave woman getting between a man and his Reese's."

<div>LMAO FI and I are both avid Reese's lovers - he's getting a Reese's inspired groom's cake at the rehearsal dinner. I think HE would've been a brave (and dumb) man to get between a hormonal woman and her wedding plans LMAO I've been pretty rational until this point but Mother Nature kicked me in the ovaries this week and I think I have turned into Medusa.</div>

  • Man, I don't know where I could keep candy and have it last for a month! A little while ago, I bought a bag of chocolate to take into work and share. FI kept looking at it, and looking at me with puppy dog eyes, and saying: "Can I please just have one piece of chocolate?" I'd probably have to buy the candy in secret and hide it in the closet until the day before.

  • heehee, I knew my H loved me because he put up with all the 'zilla moments where I obsessed over inane details.

I think my worst 'zilla moment was right before the BMs were supposed to walk down the aisle.  I was all sorts of psyching myself up, standing there, and trying not to have my heart jump out of my chest.  Then out of nowhere, My SIL was like "Oh, you have to pin the bout on your Dad".

I just stared at her, then my Dad.  Then I said "Why didn't anyone tell me? Oh my god I can't!  My nails!  I've never done it before! "  Bless my SIL, because she saw the incoming panic freight-train, and was like "um.... I'll do it".

We laugh about it now :P
