My fiancé and I have been together for almost 6 years, we were meant for each other and couldn't be happier! Three years ago my high school boyfriend died in a motorcycle accident, it was heart breaking.  He had bought me two promise rings one for Christmas and one for our Anniversary.  I am unsure of what to do with them, I never gave them back or got rid of them.  I do not wear them, but feel bad that they are just sitting around.  I guess I am looking for some guidance on what to do with them?  They are 14k gold and have small diamonds in both of them, nothing top dollar but still very nice.
Any suggestions?

    Maybe if you can, contact his family and ask them if they would like them? If not, perhaps sell them?

    I agree with PP. Contact the family first if possible. Otherwise, sell them on ebay or something?

    I was thinking of donating to a motorcycle safety course.  My fiancé was also in a motorcycle accident about a month before we met and almost lost his life.  Motorcycle safety I know is very dear to my heart, my ex however wasn't overly passionate about many things and was fairly reckless on his motorcycle.  He didn't have it when we were dating, I am fortunate that I was not on the back of his bike or his current girlfriend at the time.  I have tried having contact with his family before but they seem to shy away from me.  I was the good girlfriend he let get away, I think towards the end I was closer to his family than I was to him for many reasons.  Very wonderful people, and I do miss them.
