What could you use positive vibes for?

Maybe our collective good vibes will make a difference!  Post what you want vibes for too!

Here's mine: FI just had an interview for a promotion to take his boss's spot (his boss was promoted). We really need this, it would give us a normal schedule. We only have one mutual day off a week and he mostly works nights. There's not a lot of jobs around where we live so it's hard for him to go elsewhere.

They are looking within the department, other departments and outside the company. His interview was twice as long as anyone else's and he had really good vibes... we won't know till next week if he goes to the next step. I'm hoping so much!

What's going on in your lives??

  • Sending vibes your way for FI!

Honestly, the only vibes I need is to finish everything for the wedding in time. I have a week to go and STILL haven't purchased any undergarments for the day of!

Two things--- WE ARE UNDER CONTRACT! Yes, I had to yell that.  Our condo in the islands has been on sale for almost 2 years.  The seller offered 30 days- cash.   I need vibes because nothing is easy in the islands. I just hope everything goes through okay.  Mostly because rarely does anything go smoothly down there.

My shoulder is bad and getting worse.  We do not have insurance for another 3 weeks.  Pray I don't cut it off before I see a doctor.

  • kwitherington - Fingers crossed, I really hope you guys find something quickly!

    Linger - Absolutely!

Lynda - Wow!  Nothing for 2 years and suddenly cash and a relatively quick closing? That's pretty amazing. Good vibes for a smooth transaction and healing vibes for your shoulder. What did you do to it? FMIL had surgery last year on hers and all she did was reach behind her.

Smallfrie - Did you meet at work? Extra vibes for you. I love FI dearly and he's a good worker but I wouldn't do well working together...especially since I work from home. I did that for 3 months with an ex bf once... sometimes you just need a place to get away from each other for a few hours.

  • I don't post ever, just lurk, but I'm de-lurking because I need some positive vibes.

I'm taking my nurse practitioner boards TOMORROW.  I have studied my butt off and my brain is just overloaded with information.  I'm very nervous.

I also wanted to say that reading TK during study breaks has been enjoyable and informative!

  • I have no idea.  I started working  from home and they didn't give me a mouse for the computer.  It started hurting around the time I had to billed like 2000 customers, by hand.  I was thinking maybe the angle of my hand using the pad instead of the mouse might have had something to do with it.

Around the same time Chef pulled me in a different direction.   At 62lbs, he has some tort.   I don't remember anything specific though.

I did work on a boat for 14 years.  Pulled up 300 lbs sails and heavy anchors.  Also heavy coolers. Maybe it's wear and tear?

Or maybe I'm just old and falling apart.

KJlamb - Job vibes for your H too!

Today's theme seems to be injuries and interviews!

Ella - Extra vibes for you. I am sorry that you're having to go through this with both of your parents right now. I know how tough its been with my dad, I couldn't imagine 2 ill parents. I am glad to hear she's made progress with the chemo. Is your dad recovering from his stroke well?

Definitely positive vibes to everybody above for health, boards, job prospects and house sales.  I need vibes for finding a permanent job.  I have been looking since August and i didn't realize how much it was affecting by pyche until I started the temporary travel job I am doing now but it only lasts for 7 weeks.
I have 2 possiblities, one that is my dream job that may or may not happen and the other is a job but is more likely to actually happen.

  • He is a cutie!  I am allergic to dogs and it makes me so sad because I wasn't as a child and even into my early 20's, then all my allergies shifted around and no more dogs for me.  I've been to the ER a couple of times for allergy induced asthma thanks to a puppy or two.

My DH is a super huge cat guy.  Doesn't care for dogs (sorry Chef D - I would give you much lovin if I could), but he is nuts for cats.  They converse.  He is always telling me what our 2 are thinking or "saying about me."  The man is certifiable and this will help get him into Happy Acres for life.

Do update when kitty has a name!
  • Pele- 2-3 months to hear back about a job/?? that's just ridiculous. How do they justify that? Eep. we have a lot of herniated discs in my family and a few surgeries. They are actually deciding if my dad will have a surgery for that because it's giving him sciatica that's hard to bear too. Will surgery correct this for you?

TLC35 - I hope you get your dream job!!! What would you be doing?

Kristbot - I am sorry that you are going through that too. I will keep your family in my thoughts and send extra vibes that this works.

Harry - is that your only toilet? Hopefully easy and quick to fix!

  • Linger - almost every post you leave makes me wish TK had a like button.

Positive vibes to everyone, especially those with family members having cancer.  It's a really sh*tty thing to deal with.  Stay healthy ladies.  :)

New pet peeps, photos please to cheer me up!!

I need good job vibes.  My school is quite new and we're over crowded.  Who would have thought that young families want to move into nice big new houses with a nice new school.  Anyway, the board decided about a month ago that to combat the overcrowding, they were axing the grade 8 and 9 kids and sending them to a different school, keeping only the K-7's here.  That means all of us Junior High teachers are looking for jobs.

We will be placed somewhere in Sept, we're not complety fired, and the new school will be taking a lot of us, since they're getting 250+ kids from us, but no one has any idea where we will be or what we'll be teaching.  None of us are wanting to leave, and it's been very stressful watching the job postings and waiting for more news about next year.  I'm really hoping to be one of the lucky few who can stay, but there might not be any budget for a PE specialist.  Anyway, I know I'm lucky to still have a job, but the stress of all of this is starting to get to me.

  • Kje - best to you in being well placed. Are you looking for another job just in case or do you have tenure?

    Eep Harry!

  • I could still use vibes for FIL. If you've followed my updates on E at all, you know my FIL was hospitalized with stroke-like symptoms and seizures last month and they found two lesions on his brain.

He underwent brain surgery Tues. and they found that there was actually a much larger tumor than they had thought. They had to take more of his brain and it was right next to his vision center. THANKFULLY, the MRI after surgery was clear, meaning they did get all of it. He has lost peripheral vision in his right eye right now, but the doctor said that should improve with time.

But now we're just waiting on the pathology results to see if it was benign or malignant and where to go from here. So we could use some vibes that it is benign and this whole ordeal can be over and we can move on with our lives. I know that's all that FIL wants. These last two days have been rough.

  • Sending positive vibes to everyone!

Not sure what I need positive vibes for. I have orientation with my new job on Monday, so I'm hoping that goes well.
I guess I should ask for positive vibes to go towards my mother. She's not ill or anything, but her house has been on the market for over a year now. She has a buyer but they are seriously dragging their feet, and not meeting their conditions on time. I'm hoping they finally come through with this deal so she can move to a house more suited for her. The one she's in, the one I grew up in, is way too big for just one person.

  • I could use some job vibes for my H. He just found out he has to pay in for taxes (his own fault.. sigh) and we REALLY can't afford how much he has to pay. He's been looking for a new job closer to where we live so we can save on the gas money but he hasn't had much luck.

Also my college hockey team is in the semi finals right now.. not much left in the game but can someone hope for a miracle please? Haha.
