rate this dress plz!

So, I need some opinions about this dress...I really like it not sure I love it. I wanted a dress with organza but mother insisted that silk/satin was prettier. So, I think this is the dress??? I put a deposit on it but I am not sure I love it....I loved the way it looked on me and felt beautiful! It's just when I think of my dream dress I thought I would end up with an organza dress with some kind of ruffles/layers on the skirt part....So, what do you gals think about this choice????? help! Should I keep looking to see if maybe I find a diff one?

I think its a pretty dress, but I definitely don't think you should buy it if you don't LOVE it! You don't want to regret it later. Keep looking!

I would pick a dress that you love and a material you LOVE! There are also like different levels of organza or maybe I am totally wrong. But I know some organza dresses look like they are made better than others.

When I think of my "dream" dress I see a tight to the body, lace, keyhole back with a v-neck line and short train.

What I ended up getting was a dress that I absolutely fell in love with and could not imagine not wearing on my wedding day.

Sometimes, the things that we dream of or envision for our wedding aren't the things that we fall in love with.

ETA:  My dress that I ended up with was no where near what I had envisioned.  It was a satin modified a-line dress with one shoulder and a long train.  No lace in sight.

I feel like I've seen that dress a million times. Certainly, it's flattering, but it lacks any and all uniqueness. If you absolutely love it, then it totally works. Otherwise get what you love.

Go look again for a dress.

I had this issue a few weeks ago. I put a deposit on a dress that I 'liked'. it was a beautiful dress but not the dress for me. I ended up with a dress the total opposite of what i thought I wanted and what I orginally chose. Find a dres you love and dont want to take off

I love that dress, probably because I tried it on, and I LOVE the Mori Lee Julietta collection. It's very well made, and I loved the way the draping of the train sort of swept to the side.  The only reason I didn't buy it, is because I looked much better in a dropped waist or A-Line. 

But, the thing is, if you loved it, you should keep it.  If you keep looking, there WILL be other dresses.   Also, you should check with your salon.  Most of the time, if you put a deposit on the dress,  you can't get that money back.  Once the dress is ordered, it's ordered.  Some salons are more lenient about that, but not most of them.

OP, is your wedding really in 5 months?!?! If so, I think you need to be a bit more decisive when it comes to picking a dress...SOON.

You'll never know until you try on what you think is your dream dress.  Did you try on the style you originally envisioned?

@huynhette, I felt beautiful and it created a great thin waist...i'm curvy, so i really liked that! I loved the way it looked on me. It's just when I look at it I'm like...well I really would love the drama on the skirt. I feel like it's a bit plain for me. thanks for your advise!

@maggie, Very true. I think I would love this dress if the skirt had layers or something wow.


@libby, not really. I tried one which I did not really like. Then, my consultant kinda went away from that and brought what she thought would fit! Which it worked but not sure I love it?


THANKS ladies for all your comments. I think I am going again in hopes of finding something diff. something with a wow factor. yes, the wedding is in 5 months...So, I hope find one soon! but I think we might push it back a bit...not too sure???

My dress was organza and l loved it! Don't choose what someone else wants.. choose what you feel great in!
