Veil Fail, or talk me down from the ledge

I got my veil in the mail today after searching for something with no beads or sequins and had a floral motif.  It's pretty but not as pretty as the picture.  Of course right now it's folded and stiff.

I'm not sure what I was expecting.  Maybe to be wowed and excited?

Encouraging words?
Anyone have the same experience but felt better after the wrinkles came out?

I have exactly one month to go and I'm no longer really able to see the forest for the trees!

<div>You're looking at the veil fresh out of the bag.  It will look much different when the wrinkles are out and you're wearing it with your wedding dress, makeup, hair done, jewelry, etc.  I'm sure it will look lovely on.</div><div>

  • Take it out and steam it. And if you don't have your dress, put on a white sundress and do your hair and makeup sorta like you plan to on the wedding day. See if you like it more :
  • I'd take it to a dress shop at the same time you take your wedding dress, and have them both steamed professionally before the big day.  In the meanwhile, for a general idea, I'd steam it as best you can at home and do as Cmgilpin suggested.
  • When I took ballet classes, I'd hang my tutu's in the bathroom so the steam from the shower would help loosen them up and look nicer after being squished in a bag. I'm sure it works similarly :)

  • No additional advice to add except I think your veil is REALLY beautiful!!  Would you share where you got it from?  :)
