Wedding dress

Hi Ladies, My wedding is october 5 2013 and i was wondering what is a good date to set for me to have my dress by. also same for bridesmaid dress when should the deadloine be

Re: Wedding dress

  • Well for wedding dresses you need about 1.5-2 months for alterations.  For BM dresses I would say if they had them a month before that should be enough time to get any necessary alterations done.

But if you are asking about when to start shopping, I would say to start looking ASAP for your dress.  Depending on where you get it from it could take awhile to come in.  For your BMs, again it depends on the salon, but typically BM dresses do not take as long to come in as wedding dresses, so you could start looking now (don't forget to ask each individually for their budget) or you could even wait another month if you want.

</div><div>You should've already started looking for your dress.  Many dresses can take 6-9 months to come in.  Alterations adds on 1-2 months.  At this point, you may to need to pay a rush fee.  I hear David's Bridal tends to come in quicker.  And you can always buy off the rack.  But really, what are you waiting for?</div><div>
