Ivory Bridal Gown

My wedding gown is ivory with a lace overlay. I was concerned if there were any flower colors for the bouqet that may clash with the dress. I am using mostly purples, but some green hydrangea. Does anyone have any suggestions before I go ahead and purchase the flowers?

Ivory is a neutral. So nothing will "clash".

FWIW, my dress was Ivory and I carried a bouquet of over 2 dozen white roses. No one will care or notice.

Choose the flowers that you and your FI like.

You should pick your flowers based on several considerations:

a.  What do you and your FI like (as PP said)?

b.  What is in your budget?

c.  What mood or theme do you have, and does the venue have?

d.  Given what your budget is, what you like/your fiance likes, and what the theme, mood and season of the event is, what does the florist recommend? (to keep in budget, many times they can show you a less expensive flower that has the look of one you love, but is cheaper because it is in season or grown locally or whatever)

e. Allergies (I am allergic to lilac and my mother is allergic to goldenrod, my fiance and his father are allergic to grass)

Purple and Green Flowers, just to get you started:

Hyacinths (come in grape purple, medium raspberry, blue, yellow, white, pink, etc.)
Muscari (come in blue, purple-blue, white, and blue and white verigated)
Lilies (Asiatic, Oriential, Turkish) (come in pale yellow, white, purple, yellow and white, pink and white, pink, etc.)
Crocus (come in purple, blue-purple, varigated purple and blue, white, yellow, orange)
Delphinum (come in bright blue, dark purple, pale purple, white, pale blue)
Stocks (come in white, pale lilac, pale yellow, pinkish purple)
Lilacs (come in lilac purple, white, pale yellow, pinkish purple, dark purple, purple and white verigated)
Bells of Ireland (lime green)
Mums (both raspberry purple and lime green)
Lady's Mantel (lime green)
Tulips (every color under the sun)
Helleborus (good if you are marrying in winter/early spring)

You should start looking at flower vendor websites, florist websites, etc. and saving images you like as JPGs.  Make yourself a computer file, a word document, print them off etc.  This will make it easier for when you see a florist.
