6 month's until we say I do.

End of this month I am wokring on my invites.  We are making them ourselves and the summer is super busy in my industry.
I have booked my hair and make up.
I still need to block off rooms.  The hotels arent getting back to me UGH

That's the first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning!

(and boo - you beat me to the post - I was going to say the exact same thing!)

Hair and makeup trials are coming up for me. Cake tasting this weekend. Hopefully we'll order the invites this month.  I don't have any (many?) outof town guests, but the hotel next to the venue is $199 or $209. I thought that was pretty high? But, I don't think anyone will need to use it, but still.

I'm getting married the week before. :] I did the order for the remainder of the wedding desserts last night and am sending the bakery a deposit today. Got my garter set from Etsy, I'll post pics when I can get access to a desktop. My bridesmaids all found dresses [yay!], and we picked out a first dance song that our instructors are working on the choreography for. The DJ sent me a tentative schedule of events last night. I just have to correct it and send it back, then send him the song list sometime in the next few months. My hair trial isn't until a month before the wedding. Our appointment with the venue to finalize the set up details is this upcoming Monday. I'm hoping from there to get a better idea of the DIY projects that I need to get started on. Seems like everyone's making good progress! The hotel blocks were fairly easy for me. But I did have one hotel that never returned my phone calls or emails. We simply won't be using that hotel. I don't know if it's worth the grief to have to chase down their room block coordinator when they might continue the behavior pattern of never communicating.

YAY!  I am super excited to be at this point.  I see it on the horizon and I am sooooo ready for it to be here.  I am sporadic in my planning so I will spare you - I have a lot of plans this weekend to catch up on loose ends and to finalize some things. 

We really are only out an officiant at this point and after the first saga you read about, I have been afraid to call anyone else.

This week I talked to our baker, (my cousin) and she informed me that our cake will be our wedding present! I was blown away! Now just have to talk with the FI to make a decision on cup cakes, or cake and then flavors. I also spoke with a local artist friend of my Moms and she as agreed to do our guestbook, we are going to have her paint a tree and then we'll have our guests sign and leave their thumb prints (YES I found this on Pintrest!). Anyway she tells me she'd love to do it and it will be our gift from her. Of course I planned to pay for both these services and both refused to accept anything. So I'm pretty pumped! Plan for the weekend nail down the wording and inserts for our invitations and possibly work on some centerpieces. ONLY 6 months and lots of work left to do!
