Mi FI and I make a mustard every year that both of our familys rave over and keep asking for the recipie. We thought what cool idea to give it out in 4 oz canning jars and decorate them with burlap or something similar since we are having a county chic wedding. My problem is we can decide on the simple saying of "Happiness is Homemade" with our name and date on the hang tag or sould we come up with a cute poem the incorporates the mustard and love into the poem. We are both stumped and any help would be great!
Re: Need help with sayings for homemade favors
[QUOTE]You are waaaaayyyyyyy overthinking this. No one cares if there is a cutesy saying on the tag. I promise. It's probably more important to have an ingredients list as so many people have food sensitivities.

</div><div>Thanks for your help. I guess I need to follow the KISS theroy...lol. Also, a a list of ingredients is a great idea and I never thought of that before. Thanks for your help!</div>
Do you have a lot of guests flying in? When we travel we don't check bags so we couldn't take this home with us. That is the only problem I see with it.
[QUOTE]I would love this favor. Don't worry about a poem or anything. I think the Happiness is Homemade is pretty cute and you could put that at the top of the ingredient list if you wanted. </div><div>Thanks for your help! We only have about 2 people who are comming a little further but they are driving so no issue with planes, just trains and I'm not sure they even worry about that. I am going to list the ingredients on the back of my hang tag. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />

My friends did a jar of spice rub for their wedding, since he's a chef. My FAVORITE part is that the ingredients were listed so that when it's all used up - I can make more!

[QUOTE]I agree. "happiness is homemade" and then list the ingredients. My friends did a jar of spice rub for their wedding, since he's a chef. My FAVORITE part is that the ingredients were listed so that when it's all used up - I can make more! =)
