Help with a Pittsburgh themed bridal shower!

Hi! My family grew up in PGH and now live in FL. We're throwing a PGH themed shower for my sister who is getting married in August. I need some ideas/assistance with making it have the feel of Pittsburgh. We're getting either Sarris candies or Smiley Cookies for favors, have Terrible Towels to decorate a few chairs, and are looking online for invites. The shower will be held at a restaurant here, so we can't hang things on the walls, but can decorate the tables.  Any suggestions to bring PGH to FL?? Thanks in advance for your help!

What a great idea! I would see if the place that you are having it could do something like a Primanti's sandwhich or put french fries on a salad! I think if you could have things hanging on the walls, you should try have the skyline or something with the stadiums. Good luck!

Search online for mini Heinz Ketchup and Mustard bottles. I've seen them in photos before and they are super cute. Or I suppose regular sized bottles would do the trick, too. Maybe see if they have any Pittsburgh beers available.

I bet Etsy would have some creative ideas. I've seen photos where each table represents different Pittsburgh classics. Like one table dedicated to Kennywood, Andy Warhol, Pitt, the Aviary, the Inclines, etc.

- If you are creative you can try to make a skyline out of boxes. Just get a picture of Pittsburgh, paint the buildings different shades of black and paint in windows.

-What ever the favor is tie it with black and gold ribbon. Maybe add a tag that says something like "Celebrate the winning couple with a little something from the City of Champions."

-If it is a non formal bridal shower the bridesmaids can all wear Pittsburgh t shirts. If it is a formal shower have the girls wear black, and wear gold accessories.

-Have baskets with Snyders pretzels or Herrs chips in them

- For music you can play Christina Auglaria and other musicians from Pittsburgh.
