Unity Candle Ceremony... how does it work?

Hello ladies!

So I'm just curious as to how exactly the lighting of the unity candles works. We want our mothers to light the tapers but I'm not sure when they do this?   Do they get seated and then walk up together before the ceremony starts?  Or do they walk right up the aisle together and light them?  But then what about the fathers?
We really want to have my FI walk his mother up the aisle to her seat, and then my nephew will walk my mother up....  just not sure how to get them to the front to light the candles.

Please help me figure this out
