...for trying to save money!! I went to a bridal show back when I first got engaged and received a call from Dinner 4 Two to attend a sales pitch to get a vacation voucher and free wedding bands. I thought this was going to be a steal. I don't even have an engagement ring, it would be nice to have a wedding band...so we went. I finally used my voucher about a month ago for the bands, both FI and I picked out the ones we liked. We both went to a jeweler to get our fingers sized so we could get the right sizes.
We received the rings a few days later and mine was too big and his was too small. So I had to return them (paid the shipping to send back) and I asked for a size up for FI and a size down for me. I ended up changing styles because the one I originally picked was a little plain. I got charged $8 per ring for the exchange. We get the next set of rings, his is too big and mine was bigger than the first one!
I just returned them again (paid shipping again) and now I'm nervous on how the next set are going to come back. Luckily customer service waived the exchange fee this time. I only have 18 days to go and if I need to send it back it takes 5 days for the company to receive my package.
If I had just sucked it up, saved up the money and got gold bands from a local jeweler, we wouldn't have this problem or the added stress. Lesson learned!
