Hotel Provencial in New Orleans

Has anyone ever had their wedding at Hotel Provencial In New Orleans?  How was it?  Some pictures makeit look nice and others make it look dirty.  Any info is greatly appreciated!!

We didn't have our wedding there but we used it as our main hotel block.  I posted reviews in January - you should be able to go back and search.  I disliked working with Margie but everything else there was great, and it was really fun to have all the guests in one hotel.  The guests REALLY appreaciated having a reasonably priced hotel room that was central to everything in the Quarter, so I'd definitely recommend locking down a block there while it's cheap, even if you have your wedding elsewhere.

 Are you thinking wedding ceremony only or ceremony and reception?   We hosted an unofficial welcome party in their courtyard the night before our wedding (we brought in chicken and beer basically) and it was nice.  We did it ourselves because their on-site catering was (in my opinion) overpriced and the menu did not look good to me - and using their catering was required if we wanted to get their conference room.  I heard from guests that their bar was not great either (though there are lots of other bars around so it wasn't a problem).  So I can't really say I'd recommend it for a reception.  But it would probably be lovely for a ceremony.

How many would you say it fits for a ceremony? The website says 20 (I think) but wondering how far that can be stretched...
