Heads up for anyone needing to get a certified birth certificate in Orleans or Jefferson Parish. I lost my birth certificate in Katrina. Thinking i had time i mailed my request and Its taken 4 months to get a replacement. If you are in a hurry you'll have to go downtown to get it. Only 1 office in the area.
