Reasonable Transport from French Quarter to City Park for Bride and Groom

Hello Brides - I'm looking for reasonably priced transport (similar to the cost of getting the airport) from my wedding venue in the French Quarter to the reception site in City Park for just the bride and groom.   I'd like to avoid taking a taxi but can't justify paying $100+ quoted by other transport vendors for a ride that should be 1/4 of that cost.

What about a town car from a limo service like Nicoll's?

Good luck trying to find limo co under 100 that is worthy. Im using a limo from a funeral home to bring my fi Our 4 kids, parent I from my moms to city park for 150. Alot cheaper than any limo co. I know using limo from funeral home sounds morbid but they do rent out their limos for weddings. Good luck

Nolagirl that's a great idea! I wish we'd thought of that! It doesn't seem morbid at all. It's not like the deceased ride in the limo with you.

For my first wedding, i used Jacob Schoen funeral home on Canal Street. Their limis are silver. This time around Im using Muhleisen's in Kenner and they are black. It certainly saves you money if you only need 1 limo. I found the big name limo companies have a minimum of limos for weddings or they will charge you double. I think thats crazy ripoff. Give it a shot.

Thank you NOLA Girl!  Believe it or not, when a girlfriend of mine got married about 10 years ago in New Orlenas her mother rented limo's from a fumeral home too.  I actually called one, they told me they did not do rentals and then I abandoned the endeavor thinking it would be pointless.  Many thanks for the contacts!
