Engagement photos.

My fiance and I are looking to get engagment photos done in a beautiful park setting, but search engines aren't helping any. Can anyone help with ideas?!

Are you thinking about any area in particular or trying to stay in a certain county?  Sorry I can't be much help but I'll need more information to narrow down beyond any park.

  • Agree with MMR that more details as far as a general location would be helpful. But, off the top of my head...you could do any of the metroparks. Belle Isle can also be fun. Also, most downtowns have a town square type park -- I'm thinking Plymouth for sure. Then you could get some shots there and also walking or posing in front of some of the cute shops, etc.

  • Greenmead Village in LIvonia is a city park, and it's gorgeous. We had our wedding there in the chapel, the reception in the Alexander Blue House, but the grounds are open to the public daily from sun up to sunset. It's at Newburgh Rd & 8 Mile. It's maintained year round, when flowers are not naturally blooming, they have annuals in pots. Lots of really old vintage buildings.

If you to to my BIO link below, the photo link on the main page has pictures of our engagement session and wedding day pictures.
  • We had our pictures done at Nichols Arboretum in Ann Arbor.  It is tons of different settings from woods, flower gardens, the river, wooden bridges, etc.  It is absolutely gorgeous.

  • There are also gorgeous neighborhood parks tucked away in towns like Royal Oak and Birmingham where you could go.  That's what we did.  Check with some city recreation departments to get some suggestions and then google map them.
