Bridal Bouquet

Is it possible to get a bridal bouquet for about 35? Everytime I've talked to a florist about prices they've just told me that it depends and are pretty vague on details. Even when I took pictures to a florist she only told me that that prices would start at about $50 for the styles in the pic but that it just depended on how many flowers she ended up using. Is it possible to get a firm price beforehand? Or is this normal with florist? Has anyone used Thrifty Florist? The pics that I showed to the local florist near my house came from Thrify  and when she quoted my a higher starting price than Thrifty advertised she told me I should go to Thrifty if I'm looking for a certain price point but that many brides have complained about their quality.

I don't have a certain type of bouquet in mind and my main concern is price. I kind of expected that a florist would go over options with me to help me decide but that hasn't been the case. I got artifical flowers for my BM and I'm thinking that at this point I need to do that for my bridal bouquet too since I'm 9 days away from my wedding and I've had such a fustrating experience with florists.

Re: Bridal Bouquet

  • Bouquet prices are going to depend on many factors: flowers (type and amount), who it's tied, and season among others.  Most florists should be able to give you an exact quote.  My guess though is at 9 days away you are paying more for the "rush" process they will need to go through to get some of the flowers.

  • Honestly, at this point I would call around and say "I need a bouquet in 9 days for $35 or under. Can you work with me?" Bring up your budget directly.

Have you considered making your own?

  • As a last resort I'm going to get an artifical bouquet. I already bought artifical bouquets for my BM at Hobby Lobby a couple of days ago. I wanted real flowers for my bouquet but I'm willing to compromise on that. One of the florist that I went to said that she needs a week notice for just one bouquet so I was hoping that I may have a little more time.
  • You could easily make your own bouquet using flowers from the store (grocery store, Costco, flower store, etc).  Look up youtube videos for a how to.  Then you can control the budget and get fresh flowers.  If you are just making one, it shouldn't take too long and is an easy DIY.

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm really not a DIY type of person. And I wouldnt dare try that now so close to the wedding.

Thanks I'll look them up. I went to Thrifty Florist today and found a nice bouquet there for $33. They said that I have until Monday to order it and get it back in time for the wedding.
