Rehearsal Dinner- Royal Oak/Berkley/Ferndale etc.

Hi Everyone,

I'm planning my rehearsal dinner for the end of August 2013.  I live in Berkley and I'm looking for a place no further than Troy to host the rehearsal dinner on the cheap.  I'd like a unique space if possible (i've already thought of Amici's, Woodward Avenue Brewers, O'Mara's, Peabody's).  It need accomodate only 35-50 people.  Any suggestions welcome!

  • How cheap?  What amount are you willing to spend per person?  There are some places in your area that might work.  But I wouldn't describe them as cheap.  In fact the more unique the space the more expensive from what I've seen.  To keep it inexpensive a pizzeria might be best.
  • We did a joint bachelor/bachelorette party at the WAB and were very satisfied. Call them up, they don't have any problem reserving space so long as it's not a Friday or Saturday night.

  • Pasquales...on woodward between 13 and 14 mile rd.  The food is amazing and the prices are good!
  • Pizzeria Biga in RO or as a totally unique thing you could do a cooking type class at Mirepoix, above Holiday Market in RO.  They offer cooking classes, but are also available to private events.  You can designate it as hands on as you want and pick the menu to your budget.
  • I know WAB is cheap, but as far as the food goes they dont have a full kitchen. It might be hard for them to accomodate a large group. They basically have a heat lamp and a microwave. If you are just doing a small get together with drinks it might be more suited.

Maybe look into Comos? I know Vinsetta Garage has a private room, but I have no idea what the cost would be to reserve it.

  • Bastone just redid their downstairs - we are using it for our rehearsal dinner that will have about 40ppl. They have a few menu options starting at $18.95pp which includes soup or salad.
