Bachelorette Party Ideas

Looking for some ideas in Metro-Detroit. Trying to get an open minded list. Don't really want to do the whole downtown RO thing and have a friend who's doing painting with a Twist a couple weeks before so I don't want to do the same thing.

I'm not really a club girl and would rather be in a sports bar drinking beers. So far my MOH and I came up with doing a craft brewery bar crawl and hitting up as many MI breweries we can in the night but that's about all we've gotten so far other than the obvious other generic Detroit bachelorette party ideas.

Looking for something different and unique!

Re: Bachelorette Party Ideas

  • I did a private cooking class at Mirepoix, above Holiday Market in RO.  It was a riot even with our small group.  You can customize the menu and have it be as hands on as you want, or let them cook it all for you.  And you can request whatever beverages you want, including craft beers.  Afterwards, we walked up to RO and finished the night at Vinotecca.  I wasn't into the RO club scene, so this was a perfect night for me.  If it was planned for summer, a craft bewery crawl would have been right up my alley.
  • OMG, we did the cooking class at Mirepoix for our company holiday party in December. It was a blast, LOL. I agree with everything jsrosewedding said. If you can, get Chef Nick. He may not be available,  as he's the second chef in chief at Comerica Park when the Tigers are playing, but he's a really fun & funny guy, he was the chef attending our cooking class.

Another idea is the craft store on 4th St in Royal Oak, Creative Art Studio. They have a private room, and you can have food and alcohol (I think) in there. You can do a variety of crafts, even glass plate or vase making. I've done this with my daughter a few times, but never as a party.
