Selling Unused Invitations

We purchased 3 boxes (90 in total) of invitations from Michaels.  We recently changed our minds and are going in a different direction with our invites.  Two of the boxes are sealed and one is open.  The open box has extra invitation pieces because when the sales associate counted it out, it was missing some items so she took some extras from another open box and put it in the one we purchased.  Below is a link to the invites.  We are asking $95 for all three boxes.  Here is a link to invites so you can see what they look like:

Re: Selling Unused Invitations

  • You didn't use any of their 40% or 50% off coupons?  Why don't you just return them to the store?

We bought them on a whim about 5 or 6 months ago so no coupon.  At the time my FI loved them because they incorporated our one wedding color but he has since changed his mind about the design.  I'm not sure if we would be able to still return them.

ETA:  I just checked their online return policy and we could return them without the receipt but we would get a store credit.

Return them to the store.  You could always sell your store credit.
  • Thats actually not a bad idea.  I'll mention it to FI and see what he thinks.
