Venue Help!

Hi everyone! I live in Hamilton and am recently engaged. We have been spending the last few Saturdays looking at venues....We're thinking 160 guests without spending more than $140 max per person. I really love The Cranbury Inn in Cranbury NJ.....however a lot of online reviews have complaints about the owner (who does all the weddings). I love the wood and rustic look and it's just so beautiful that I don't know if we should go for it. Other places are too ballroom-y for us. We seemed to get a lot of individual attention when we visited The Canbury Inn, but like I said, a lot of reviews online said things were promised and not delivered. Any venue ideas that are not too ballroom-ish?? Thanks!

Re: Venue Help!

  • I can't comment on the Cranbury as a wedding venue I've eaten dinner there before and the food is very good.  I also went to a holiday party there.  I am recently engaged too and from the same county.  What other places did you look at?  We haven't begun to visit venues yet but just curious.

<div>We looked at Valenzano Winery in Shamong. It was beautiful, too, just out of our price range with everything added up. We also looked at Mercer Oaks Country Club and Clark's Landing in Delran...the space was too tight though in my opinion for 150 guests. This is stressful!</div>
