Venue Search

Hi ladies! I am recently engaged and on the hunt for my venue! My main pet peeves seem to be low ceilings and bad carpets. Anyony have any suggestions on high ceiling venues? Possibly with a beachy feel?

Thanks!

How many guests?  What is your budget?  What area of NJ are you looking for?

  • Around 200 guests, I am flexible in location and have a budget of around 180pp.
  • whats your wedding date?
  • You could look at The Palace.  We are getting married there next July and they are in your price range.  They have beautiful high ceilings and with the amount of people you would have to use the east ballroom which is all high ceilings with beautiful chandeliers.  We are paying a little less than 180 a head after tax and gratuity for a Friday night in July but I would def recommend it!

If you are looknig for a beachy feel, check out Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Point Pleasant.

Some other high ceiling venues that come to mind are Florentine Gardens, the Venetian, Crystal Plaza, The Palace and Westmount Country Club.

  • The Madison Hotel in Convent station has high ceilings but does not have a beachy feel.

If you are looking for a beachy venue with high ceilings. Have you thought about the shore? Weddings of Distinction has two beautiful venues that are on the water and a small beach next to them. The first place is called the Mallard Island Inn with this off the chain bridal suite 3k square feet and the reception room windows opens up like patio doors on the water. The second venue is Bonnet Island very high ceilings again on water. The caveat with this place IMO is the site fee is high because you have access to the venue for 24 hrs they provide a 24 room stay for really the bridal party and parents. The same with Mallard as well. Check it out and you can PM me and I can give you pricing and other info. I went to the venues but did not choose them.
